"Come out of her My people"- Jesus Christ

What is a prophet? A prophet is one who receives dreams and visions from GOD and is instructed to deliver these messages to the people (Numbers 12:6). Prophecy is one of the many gifts of the holy Spirit that GOD has given to His church (1st Corinthians 12:9-10). Thus the Bible teaches us not to despise ‘prophesying’, but rather test the words of the prophets, prove what they say; hold fast to those who are true, and reject those who are false, for Lord warned us that in the last days there would be false prophets who would deceive many (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21, Matthew 24:11, 1st John 4:1).

How do we test prophets? The Bible tells us how we must test the prophets; first they must speak in agreement with God’s word (Isaiah 8:20). They must prophesy the truth for GOD cannot lie; and what they foretell must come to pass (Deuteronomy18:21-22). If they fail any of these tests then they are a false prophet and they should be rejected and not feared. In the Old Testament they were instructed to put the false prophet to death, in the New Testament we put them out of the church.

Today I wish to examine a ‘prophet’ that most of us are familiar with. And that is the ‘prophet’ of the SDA Denomination, Ellen G. White. Ellen G. White was said to receive visions and dreams from GOD, and she wrote many books concerning ‘what God showed her’. Many of the SDA denomination shy away from testing the words of this woman; for instance, one member told me that no true “Adventist” would even read a paper that investigates Mrs. White. These are the words of one ripe for deception! I hope dear reader that you are willing to investigate Mrs. White for yourself. If she is true, then her prophesies can handle the investigation, if she is proven false, then cast her non-sense far away from you. I ask you to be lead by the Spirit as you study this booklet, if what I say is truth, then rejoice in the truth; if what I say is a lie, then please point me to the error and I will correct it. But I assure each of you, that if what I present today is truth, then you will be blessed by accepting this truth. There is no blessing in a lie my friends.

Most of the SDA Denomination will readily answer yes; but if you are asking so that you can ‘investigate’ her words, some from this denomination will tell you that we cannot ‘test’ Ellen White because she never claimed to be a prophet. Is what they are saying truth?
Did she claim to be a prophet?

"God has made plain to me the various ways in which He would use me to carry forward a special work. Visions have been given me, with the promise, "If you deliver the messages faithfully and endure to the end, you shall eat of the fruit of the tree of life, and drink of the water of the river of life." {1SM 33.1}

A prophet is one who receives dreams and visions directly from heaven to deliver to people. Did she claim to do this? YES. Did she ever say she was not a prophet? NO! She actually claimed to be "MORE" than a prophet. Which is proven in the following quotes.

"My commission embraces the work of a prophet, but it does not end there." (Selected Messages, vol. 1, p. 36, 1906)

"Why have I not claimed to be a prophet?--Because in these days many who boldly claim that they are prophets are a reproach to the cause of Christ; and because my work includes much more than the word "prophet" signifies". {1SM 32.4}

She did not deny being a prophet, but actually stated she was "MORE" than a prophet. If your work is greater than that of prophet, then you must hold the office of an apostle (1st Corinthians 12:28).  This is sufficient grounds for trying the visions of Ellen White and seeing if she is a ‘Biblical prophet’.

"I was shown the company present at the conference. Said the angel, 'Some food for worms, some subjects of the seven last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus.' (Testimonies, Vol. 1, p. 131)

This was spoken well over 130 years ago, needless to say, each and every person that was at this meeting is now dead; not one tasted of the plagues and not one remained alive to see the return of Jesus. The Bible tells us one test of a true prophet is if what the prophet says comes to pass. Clearly Ellen was speaking ‘presumptuously’; and she would have faced dire consequences in the days of Moses (Deuteronomy 18:20). To investigate the SDA's excuses for this vision click here:
"Explain it Away"

Ellen says, Yes "The kingdom of grace was instituted immediately after the fall of man, when a plan was devised for the redemption of the guilty race" (Great Controversy, p. 347).

Where did Ellen receive this information? She had seen it earlier in ‘vision’.

“Adam, through his love for Eve, disobeyed the command of God, and fell with her…. Sorrow filled heaven, as it was realized that man was lost, and that world which God had created was to be filled with mortals doomed to misery, sickness, and death, and there was no way of escape for the offender… Soon I saw Him {Jesus} approach the exceeding bright light which enshrouded the Father. Said my accompanying angel, He is in close converse with His Father…. He then made known to the angelic host that a way of escape had been made for lost man. He told them that He had been pleading with His Father, and had offered to give His life a ransom, to take the sentence of death upon Himself, that through Him man might find pardon; that through the merits of His blood, and obedience to the law of God, they could have the favor of God, and be brought into the beautiful garden, and eat of the fruit of the tree of life.  {EW 149.2}

Does the bible agree with her account? NO!
"For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake" (1 Peter 1:18-20).

Eph 1:4-5  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

NOTE: *Ellen later realized that her belief was contrary to scriptures and said:

“Our salvation is complete, because it is founded on the accomplishment of a plan laid before the foundation of the world.” {RH, July 25, 1899 par. 14}

“The great plan, devised before the foundations of the earth were laid, was successfully carried out”.--Ms 25, 1898, pp. 3, 4. ("The Man of Sorrows," typed, February 24, 1898.)

“The plan of salvation had been laid before the creation of the earth.” {AG 42.3} 1890

Though she corrected her doctrine, she could not change the fact that she had “SEEN in vision” the plan being made after the fall of man!

“Said the angel: "Hear, O heavens, the cry of the oppressed, and reward the oppressors double according to their deeds." This nation will yet be humbled into the dust. England is studying whether it is best to take advantage of the present weak condition of our nation, and venture to make war upon her. She is weighing the matter, and trying to sound other nations. … When England does declare war, all nations will have an interest of their own to serve, and there will be general war, general confusion.”  {1T 259.1}

As most of us know, England never declared war against us, yet Ellen’s Angel plainly declared they WOULD. He did not say “IF England declares war”, but he said, “WHEN England declares war”. This again was a false vision.

"Slavery will again be revived in the Southern States; for the spirit of slavery still lives. Therefore it will not do for those who labor among the colored people to preach the truth as boldly and openly as they would be free to do in other places. Even Christ clothed His lessons in figures and parables to avoid the opposition of the Pharisees."  Spalding, Magan Collection, page 21 and 2 MR #153, page 300

History declares the lady a ‘liar’ for slavery was abolished and it was never revived.

Many in the Adventist Church tell us that the writings of Mrs. White is the “Spirit of Prophecy” or the “testimony of Jesus” and they believe every word is inspired. Others believe they are fallible but still contain good counsel.  In the congregation I was a part of, we were told her books were fallible books. And since I was taught this I simply ignored the many contradictions I found in her writings, and merely said, “She was human”. What I did not know was that Ellen White taught her books, her testimonies, and even her letters were inspired by God.

“In my books, the truth is stated, barricaded by a ‘Thus saith the Lord.’  The Holy Spirit traced these truths upon my heart and mind as indelibly as the law was traced by the finger of God upon the tables of stone.”  Letter 90, 1906

"The Holy Ghost is the Author of the Scriptures and of the Spirit of Prophecy." (Selected Messages, Vol. 3, p. 30)

"In ancient times God spoke through the mouths of prophets and apostles. In these days he speaks to them by the Testimonies of his Spirit" (Testimonies, Vol. 4, p. 148; Vol. 5., p. 661)
"The testimonies are unread and unappreciated. God has spoken to you. Light has been shining from His word and from the testimonies, and both have been slighted and disregarded. (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 217)

“I am just as dependent upon the Spirit of the Lord in relating or writing a vision, as in having the vision. It is impossible for me to call up things which have been shown me unless the Lord brings them before me at the time that He is pleased to have me relate or write them.—Spiritual Gifts (1860), vol. 2, pp. 292, 293.  {1SM 36.4}

“I cannot at my own impulse take up a work and launch out into it. I have to be impressed by the Spirit of God. I cannot write unless the Holy Spirit helps me.”—Letter 11, 1903.  {3SM 49.1}

“I write all that the Lord gives me to write”.—Letter 52, 1906.  {3SM 49.6}

“Weak and trembling, I arose at three o’clock in the morning to write to you. God was speaking through clay…  In these letters which I write, in the testimonies I bear, I am presenting to you that which the Lord has presented to me. I do not write one article in the paper, expressing merely my own ideas. They are what God has opened before me in vision—the precious rays of light shining from the throne....  {1SM 27.2}

“In these letters which I write, in the testimonies I bear, I am presenting to you that which the Lord has presented to me.”—Testimonies, vol. 5, p. 67.

“If you seek to turn aside the counsel of God to suit yourselves, if you lessen the confidence of God’s people in the testimonies He has sent them, you are rebelling against God as were Korah, Dathan, and Abriam.”  Testimonies 5  p. 66.

"I am thankful that the instruction contained in my books establishes present truth for this time. These books were written under the demonstration of the Holy Spirit." (Letter 50, 1906)

These words are quite plain, she truly taught that her writings were inspired, she even warned people not to try to divide her writings into ‘personal opinion’ and inspiration. This is again enough evidence to try her writings and to see if they meet the test of a Biblical prophet. Remember one way to test a false prophet is if they contradict the Bible and another is if they contradict themselves. For if they give two testimonies that are not in agreement, then one must be a lie.

Ellen White and all the pioneers of her church taught that Jesus will not touch the Mount of Olives at His second coming, but that He would AFTER the thousand years; but the Desire of Ages even contradicts this.

"From this mountain He was to ascend to heaven. Upon its summit His feet will rest when He shall come again. Not as a man of sorrows, but as a glorious and triumphant king "—DA p. 830

The Bible tells us about a night in which Jacob wrestled with an angel all night long. He wrestled in prayer, weeping and making supplication. Let’s read it.

Gen 32:24-26 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Hosea 6:3-4
He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:   Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;

Speaking of the night Jacob wrestled with the angel, Ellen White tells us about a silent struggle.

“Suddenly a strong hand was laid upon him. He thought that an enemy was seeking his life, and he endeavored to wrest himself from the grasp of his assailant.    In the darkness the two struggled for the mastery. Not a word was spoken.” {CC 67.3}

“The contest is severe; neither utters a word; but Jacob puts forth all his strength, and does not relax his efforts for a moment. Thus the struggle continues, until nearly the break of day, when the stranger places his finger upon Jacob's thigh and he is crippled instantly.” {HS 131.2}

Clearly Ellen contradicted the Bible in these two 'testimonies' But in another writing of Ellen White, she tells us that Jacob and the Angel talked all night long, thus contradicting herself.

“An angel was represented to me as standing before Jacob, presenting his wrong before him in its true character. As the angel turns to leave him, Jacob lays hold of him, and will not let him go. He makes supplications with tears. He pleads that he has deeply repented of his sins, and the wrongs against his brother, which have been the means of separating him from his father's house for twenty years. He ventures to plead the promises of God, and the tokens of his favor to him from time to time, in his absence from his father's house. All night Jacob wrestled with the angel, making supplication for a blessing. The angel seemed to be resisting his prayer, by continually calling his sins to his remembrance, at the same time endeavoring to break away from him. Jacob was determined to hold the angel, not only by physical strength, but by the power of living faith. In his distress Jacob referred to the repentance of his soul, the deep humility he had felt for his wrongs.” {1SP 118.1}

My friend BOTH of these ‘testimonies’ are lies! The Bible is clear that Jacob prayed and wept that night. And the bible is clear that God doesn't bring up forgiven sins., Ellen White taught that before the Angel appeared, Jacob had prayed and repented of his sin.

“Had not Jacob previously repented of his sin in obtaining the birthright by fraud, God would not have heard his prayer and mercifully preserved his life”. {GC88 620.1}

When GOD forgives us doesn’t He also forget (Jeremiah 31:34)? And doesn’t He promise that he will never mention the sin to us again (Ezekiel 33:16)?  But Ellen tells us that God had his angel to continually call Jacob’s sin back to his remembrance.

The Bible tells us that the ‘Tower of Babel’ was built after the flood (Read Genesis 9, 11). When does Ellen White say it was built?

“The Lord first established the system of sacrificial offerings with Adam after his fall, which he taught to his descendants. This system was corrupted before the flood by those who separated themselves from the faithful followers of God, and engaged in the building of the tower of Babel. They sacrificed to gods of their own [making] instead of the God of Heaven.”  {3SG 301.4}

Of Course Ellen corrected her mistake in other writings, but there is no excuse for a prophet writing under 'inspiration' to teach a lie!

A popular ‘X-mass’ tradition is to have plays in which the shepherds and the wise men come to the manger to worship and give gifts to baby Jesus. This is of course ‘fantasy’ because the wise men did not find Jesus until he was a small child at home.

Matthew 2:11   And when they (the wise men) were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh...

About how old was the child?  Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.

But Ellen White must of liked the fictional ‘X-MASS’ plays better than the biblical account, for she says: “The wise men departed alone from Jerusalem… At Bethlehem they found no royal guard stationed to protect the newborn King. None of the world's honored men were in attendance. Jesus was cradled in a manger.” (DA 63)

Does GOD want us to have a Christmas tree? Does he want a tree in his house?

Now the false god Baal enjoyed groves put up in his house of worship, but GOD tells us not to put a tree near his altar or in his house (Deuteronomy 16:21).

Today many Adventists realize that “Christmas” is a pagan abomination. Even the Illustrated Great Controversy tells us that the pagan God Tammuz was born on Dec 25. “Born on December 25th, he represented the rebirth of the sun. As the pagan god-child he was called “Baal-berith” or lord of the fir-tree. The word “yule” is a Babylonian word for infant. December 25th was called by the pagan Anglo-Saxons, Yule Day.”

"The worshippers (of Mithra) held Sunday sacred and celebrated the birth of the Sun on the 25th of December." Franz Cumont, The Mysteries of Mithra, trans. by Thomas J. McCormack, pg. 191

The setting up of a Christmas tree is also a pagan custom used by ancient heathen to honor their sun-gods.

“The Christmas Tree… was equally common in Pagan Rome and Pagan Egypt. In Egypt that tree was the palm tree; In Rome it was the fir; the Palm tree denoting the Pagan Messiah, as Baal-Tamar, the fir referring to him as Baal-Berith.” “The divine child (pagan messiah) born at the winter solstice was born as a new incarnation of the great god (after that god had been cut in pieces)”. Thus the burning of the Yule Log on Dec. 24th was a symbol of the great god who died, and the standing of the evergreen tree was a symbol of this god re-incarnated as the pagan Messiah.  Two Babylons by Rev. Alexander Hislop.

God commands us not to learn or practice pagan religious customs (Deuteronomy 12:30-31) and the Christmas tree is no exception (Jeremiah 10:1-5)

But what did Ellen Say? Ellen says: “God would be well pleased if on Christmas, each church would have a Christmas tree on which shall be hung offerings, great and small, for these houses of worship”. {RH, December 11, 1879 par. 17}

I’m sorry Ellen, GOD is not “Well Pleased” when his professed people practice heathen abominations. Nor is he pleased when people speak ‘presumptuously’ in his name.

Ellen said this about John the Baptist. “John separated himself from his friends, and from the luxuries of life, dwelling alone in the wilderness, and subsisting upon a purely vegetable diet. {CTBH 38.5}

Was John a vegetarian? No! John ate meat, because he ate Locusts (Matthew 3:4). Some Adventists will say “locusts means a type of vegetable”, but this is an falsity, the Greek term for Locusts is used only in reference to the ‘Grasshopper’ (See Mark 1:6, Revelation 9:3, 9:7)

Does the Bible sanction the use of “intoxicating wine”? Ellen Says NO! "The Bible nowhere sanctions the use of intoxicating wine." (Ministry of Healing, p. 333)

But what does the Bible say? "Give strong drink to him who is perishing and wine to those in bitter distress: let them drink and forget their poverty, and remember their misery no more." (Prov. 31:6-7) Here we see strong drink and wine being prescribed for people who are dying.

Deuteronomy 14:22-26 It reads in part, "Then you shall turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses, and spend the money for whatever you desire, oxen, or sheep, or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves, and you shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household."

Clearly God sanctioned the use of WINE (alcoholic) for certain uses; it is also sanctioned to be used as a refreshment with your meals; it is the drinking of the substance to become ‘drunk’ that is forbidden.

Ellen White said she received a vision concerning the ‘evils’ of meat use. From that moment she says she ceased to partake of meat.”

“But since the Lord presented before me, in June, 1863, the subject of meat-eating in relation to health, I have left the use of meat…. I have lived for nearly one year without meat…. We have no meat, cake, or any rich food upon our table… My food is eaten with a greater relish than ever before.  {4aSG 153.3}

She went as far as to call families’ backslidden who partook of meat and butter. “One family in particular have needed all the benefits they could receive from the reform in diet, yet these very ones have been completely backslidden. Meat and butter have been used by them quite freely, and spices have not been entirely discarded.” {2T 485.1} 1868

She also forbade ministers from eating meat: “Let not any of our ministers set an evil example in the eating of flesh meat.” {CD 399.3} 1902

Yet it was rumored that she had eaten meat the whole time.

Again, "Sr. White, if you knew one-half of the doings at Battle Creek, you would not blame us, for we really do not know what to think, or what course to pursue. We heard you ate meat, butter, and cheese. All these things you had condemned we heard were upon your table again." I told them I had not swerved from my principles of health reform. Butter was not placed upon my table for my family, neither for visitors. Meat was not brought into my house or placed upon my table.” {PH011 77.1} (1870)

The 'rumor' has now been proven TRUE!
The truth is Ellen White continued to eat meat for 31 years after her health vision (if not longer). Some of these meats were actually unclean.

In 1882 Ellen was eating oysters and herrings: "Mary, if you can get me a good box of herrings, fresh ones, please do so. These last ones that Willie got are bitter and old. If you can buy cans, say, half a dozen cans, of good tomatoes, please do so.  We shall need them. If you can get a few cans of good oysters, get them."  {MR852 2.3}

She ate chicken often (See Manuscript Releases Vol. 11, pp. 142, 147) duck (Manuscript 12, 1873, p. 3 {MR 7, p. 346}) and venison for Christmas dinner when it was not a necessity (See Manuscript Releases Vol. 14, p. 318-319, written December 26, 1878).

When did Ellen finally banish meat from her table?
"Since the camp meeting at Brighton [January, 1894] I have absolutely banished meat from my table”. {MR852 2.4}

Isn’t this practice of laying ‘rules and burdens’ on others, and not following them yourself a form of hypocrisy? Thus for 31 years she refused to submit herself to the vision “God” gave her, for 31 years she was backslidden and setting an evil example according to her own ‘testimonies’. I must confess, the evilest example was hypocrisy.

EGW: YES "Satan, who is the father of lies, deceived Adam in a similar way, telling him that he need not obey God, that he would not die if he transgressed the law" (Evangelism, p. 598).

BIBLE: NO "And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner" (1 Timothy 2:14).

EGW: THE SERPENT  “The serpent plucked the fruit of the forbidden tree and placed it in the hands of the half-reluctant Eve.” (Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 55).

EGW: EVE  “Without a fear she (Eve) plucked and ate.”  (Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 56).

BIBLE: EVE “When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it.” (Genesis 3:6).

EGW: YES "God granted their desire, giving them flesh, and leaving them to eat till their gluttony produced a plague" (Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 148).

BIBLE: NO "But while the meat was still between their teeth and before it could be consumed, the anger of the Lord burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague" (Numbers 11:33).

Note: Clearly the plague came before they had time to swallow! Their sin was Covetousness, not gluttony.

EGW: YES "The mother of Jesus was agonized, almost beyond endurance, and as they stretched Jesus upon the cross, and were about to fasten his hands with the cruel nails to the wooden arms, the disciples bore the mother of Jesus from the scene, that she might not hear the crashing of the nails as they were driven through the bone and muscle of his tender hands and feet" (Spiritual Gifts, vol. 1, p. 58, written in 1858).

BIBLE: NO " ... These things happened so that the scriptures would be fulfilled: 'Not one of his bones will be broken'" (John 19:25, 36).

NOTE** Ellen later corrected this mistake in another writing and explained the nail was driven through tender flesh.

EGW: YES "Where have our brethren obtained the idea that they should stand upon their feet praying to God? One who has been educated about five years in Battle Creek was asked to lead in prayer before Sister White should speak to the people. But as I beheld him standing upright upon his feet while his lips were about to open in prayer to God, my soul was stirred within me to give him an open rebuke. Calling him by name, I said, "Get down on your knees! This is the proper position always" (Selected Messages, book 2, p. 311).

EGW: YES "Both in public and private worship, it is our duty to bow down before God when we offer our petitions to Him" (Selected Messages, book 2, p. 311).

BIBLE: NO "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins" (Mark 11:25).

Note: Ellen White often stood praying, thus again showing she didn’t practice what she preached. (See Selected Messages, book 3, p. 266).

EGW: YES "It is a sin to be sick; for all sickness is the result of transgression" (Counsels on Health, p. 37).

BIBLE: NO "So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. ... In all this, Job did not sin" (Job 2:7, 10).

NOTE: It is a matter of record that Ellen White was sick a lot --does that mean she sinned a lot?

EGW YES "God would not suffer (allow) the wicked to destroy those who were expecting translations and who would not bow to the decree of the beast or receive his mark. I saw that if the wicked were permitted to slay the saints, Satan and all his evil host and all who hate God, would be gratified. ... The swords that were raised to kill God's people broke and fell powerless as a straw. Angels of God shielded the saints" (Early Writings, pp. 284, 285).

BIBLE: NO "I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshipped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years" (Revelation 20:4).

E. G. White was under the impression that the Herod that took part in Jesus’ trial was the same Herod that took the life of James. She did not realize that it was Herod Antipas who took part in Jesus’ trial and Herod Agrippa I who put James to death. This mistake was due to her ignorance of the Bible and Bible history.

Writing under inspiration; E. G. White wrote in 1858 that, "Herod’s heart grew still harder, and when he heard that JESUS had arisen, he was not much troubled. He took the life of James; and when he saw that this pleased the Jews, he took Peter also, intending to put him to death." (Spiritual Gifts Vol 1, p.71).

Note: The cover-up: This error was never corrected in the revisions of Early Writings. But when the error was discovered the authors tried to fix it by a footnote on page 185 of Early writings saying it was, "the same Herodian spirit only in another personality." Which is total NON-SENSE!

“Coal and oil are generally to be found where there are no burning mountains or fiery issues. When fire and water under the surface of the earth meet, the fiery issues cannot give sufficient vent to the heated elements beneath. The earth is convulsed, the ground heaves, and rises into swells or waves, and there are heavy sounds like thunder under ground. The air is heated and suffocating. The earth quickly opens, and villages, cities, and burning mountains are carried down together into the earth.”  {ST, March 13, 1879 par. 5}

It now common knowledge that earthquakes come from the shifting of the earth’s plates, and volcano do not result from burning ‘coal and oil’.

"The eating of pork has produced scrofula, leprosy, and cancerous humors. Pork eating is still causing the most intense suffering to the human race." Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 393, para. 2.

Note: Pigs do not ever carry leprosy. The only animals that can carry it are the armadillo and sometimes rodents such as mice, who transport it in their footpads. Because pigs cannot carry leprosy they cannot transmit leprosy to humans. The amount of pork eaten around the world should cause a plague of leprosy if this were true.

Scientific support that swine are not carriers of leprosy. From a letter dated 18-Feb-93: "As per our phone conversation of 15-Feb-93, swine are not a known host for Mycobacterium leprae, the cause of leprosy." W.G. Van Alstine, DVM. PhD, Veterinary Pathologist, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN.

God would not have his people adopt the so-called reform dress. It is immodest apparel, wholly unfitted for the modest, humble followers of Christ. . . Those who feel called out to join the movement in favor of woman's rights and the so-called dress reform, might as well sever all connection with the third angel's message. . . God would not have us take a course to lessen or destroy our influence with the world" (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. I., pp. 421, 422).

Notice that she gives God as her authority here. "God would not have his people adopt the so-called reform dress." That was God's mind at that date, he ‘through Ellen’ said that the dress should be but two inches above the ground (p. 424). Remember this.

Once more she says: "Christians should not take pains to make themselves a gazing-stock by dressing differently from the world" (p. 458).

But one year later she wrote; "God would now have his people adopt the Reform Dress, not only to distinguish them from the world as his peculiar people, but because a reform in dress is essential to physical and mental health" (p. 525).

First GOD didn’t want His people to wear it and look different than the world, but then He gave the opposite message. But as history testifies this ‘reform dress’ did not go over well. The ladies who wore them suffered in the heat of the summer, and their shins chilled in the winter. After 8 years of this folly Ellen laid aside her ‘reform dress’ and said that GOD had changed His mind again!

"As our sisters would not generally accept the reform dress as it should be worn, another less objectionable style is now presented" (Testimonies, Vol. IV., p. 640).

For 9 years (1846-1855) Ellen White taught people to keep Sabbath from 6pm to 6pm instead of from Sunset to Sunset as the Bible teaches.  She had numerous visions on the subject of the Sabbath, and she ‘testified’ that certain brethren were wrong in keeping Sabbath from Sunrise to Sunrise; yet not once during this nine-year period did GOD show her that they were breaking His Sabbath! In 1855 November 16, through the study of J.N. Andrews the Conference voted to keep the Sabbath from sunset to sunset according to the bible. Four days later, she had a vision that the Sabbath was to be kept sunset to sunset. Why didn’t GOD show her the error before they corrected it? Because like so many other of her so called visions, she only saw what she had known or been told!

During a short period of the SDA history they encountered some persecution for observing the 7th Day Sabbath and working as the Lord commanded on Sunday. Ellen and the rest of the Adventist people had predicted such persecution and had declared the enforced observance of Sunday as the Mark of the Beast. Yet when persecution did arise Ellen backed down and taught the people to observe Sunday in the same manner that the Sunday Keeping Churches had kept it. Her counsel was given to avoid all possibility of persecution for Sunday work.

She says: "The light given me by the Lord at a time when we were expecting just such a crisis as you seem to be approaching was that when the people were moved by a power from beneath to enforce Sunday observance, Seventh-day Adventists were to show their wisdom by refraining from their ordinary work on that day, devoting it to missionary effort" (p. 232). "Give them no occasion to call you lawbreakers." "It will be very easy to avoid that difficulty. Give Sunday to the Lord as the day for doing missionary work." Testimonies for the Church," Vol. IX., No. 37, published in 1909.

"At one time those in charge of our school at Avondale [Australia] inquired of me, saying, 'What shall we do? The officers of the law have been commissioned to arrest those working on Sunday.' I replied, 'It will be very easy to avoid that difficulty. Give Sunday to the Lord as a day for doing missionary work. Take students out to hold meetings in different places, and to do medical missionary work. They will find the people at home, and will have a splendid opportunity to present the truth. This way of spending Sunday is always acceptable to the Lord'" (p. 238).

GOD commands us to work 6 days! Here Ellen commands the people to obey the man-made law and treat Sunday as if it is the Sabbath. To do no “Ordinary work” on that day, but to have religious meetings on Sunday, and to give the day to the Lord; this is the very directions the Papacy has given to the world.

We have seen repeated contradictions in the writings of Ellen White. She contradicted both the Bible and herself. Her prophecies and visions have failed, and at times she taught contrary to the Great Law of GOD. No Bible believing person, who has studied this information can possibly believe that Ellen White was a prophet. Yet I fear there are persons who have read this (or refused to even read it), that have been brainwashed by the SDA propaganda machine, and no amount of evidence will convince them. I pray for their deliverance.

I know there are some who are very confused at this moment, like me, they have read Ellen White’s books and have believed them to have ‘much’ truth in them; and she seemed to live a godly life; but having some truth, and a ‘godly’ character is not the test of a prophet; and Ellen White has failed the Biblical test. I ask you to continue in research of this question. May you learn to trust GOD and his Bible alone.
