The TRUTH about MARY -- She was no perpetual virgin!
www.babylonforsaken.com

The Catholic church contends that Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ was sinless. They also say that Mary held fast to her virginity even after the birth of her Son. Thus, they teach that Mary now sits on the right hand of Christ, making intercession for the disciples, and she is worthy of worship or as a Catholic would say "Veneration". This study is given to destroy the myth of Mary's continual virginity.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, was indeed a virgin upon conception and birth of Jesus Christ, but what is the TRUTH concerning Mary's life after the birth of Christ? To find the facts, let us turn to the Word of GOD, for His Word is truth.

Matthew 2:25,, And (Joseph) knew her not TIL she brought forth her FIRST born son: and he called his name Jesus.

Now this is a clear statement that Joseph knew not (Had no sexual relations with) Mary TIL she brought forth the Child. Catholics will contend that ‘Til' doesn't mean what you think, and they will go into much babble about how it really means that they abstained from sexual relations even after Christ's birth. THIS IS A LIE!

Let us look at the word ‘TIL'; the words Til and Until, are both the same word 'heos' in the original writing. Heos is defined as: "a word that ascribes a time or action that discontinues the preceeding verb". Or in other words the "knowing Mary Not" ended with the birth of CHRIST!

For example, let us look at the same word 'heos' and how it is used in the gospels.
Matthew 2:13,, And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and *Be thou there UNTIL I bring thee word:.

As we see in this verse, the word UNTIL (Heos) shows when the before mention verb was discontinued. They Stayed There UNTIL the angel brung them word.

Luke 23:44,,, And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth UNTIL the ninth hour.

Here again we see where the word Until (Heos) shows when the previous action ended. The darkness covered the earth UNTIL the ninth hour. I think that this makes it very clear. Now let us look again at Matthew 2:25.

MARY'S FIRST SON

Matthew 2:25,, And (Joseph) knew her not til she brought forth her FIRST born son: and he called his name Jesus.

Now the emphasis is on the word FIRST, Jesus was Mary's first born Son. Notice the bible does not say ONLY, but rather First. Why does it say first and not only? Because Mary had many more children after she gave birth to Christ. Let us look at the book of Matthew again.

Matthew 13:55-56,, Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his BRETHEN, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? (56) And his SISTERS, are they not all with us?
Now this shows clearly that Jesus had brothers and sisters; but Catholics will insist that the word 'brethen' only means a close relative. THIS IS A LIE! The word 'brethen' in the orginal text is 'Adelphos' meaning a literal BROTHER, the root word for 'Adelphos' is 'Delphus'; What does Delphus mean? 'The Womb'! Showing that these Brothers were from the SAME WOMB! (Some Catholics will say they were from Joseph's previous marriage, This proves that the 'previous marriage' statement is another LIE!)

Also notice verse 56 mentions his SISTERS, the word sister in the orginal text is 'Adelphe', meaning Sister! And it too has the same root word 'Delphus', showing they are Sisters of the same WOMB!

DID THE JEWS HAVE THE WORDS COUSIN AND NEPHEW?

Now as I have mentioned before, Catholics will carry on about how these are only close relatives, Cousins and Nephews and such, they will lie and say that the Jews had no word for these relationships, so they called all close relatives brother or sister. THIS IS A LIE!

The word cousin is used in Luke 1:36 and Luke 1:58,, in the original text the word is 'Suggenes' meaning a close blood relative, totally different from the words brother or sister. Nephew is also found in 1st Timothy 5:4. The original word here is 'Ekgonon', meaning a close descendent, again totally different!

Did you know that no where in the bible does Jesus call Mary,  Mother? Rather on several occasions he calls her 'Woman’(John 2:4). Infact, when told Mary and his brethen wanted to speak to him, what did Christ say?

Matthew 12:48-50,,, Who is my mother? and who are my brethen? And he stretched forth his hands toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethen! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother and sister, and mother.

And still on several other occasions Jesus made it clear that Mary was no better than his other disciples.

Luke 11:27-28,,, And it came to pass as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. (She must of been Catholic! Now notice the quick rebuke by Christ). (28) But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it.     And no dear friend, 'Yea rather' does not mean 'Yes indeed', but it means 'but no', (Menounge in the original text)

FIRST BORN/ ONLY BORN?

Let’s look at the term Firstborn for a moment. (REMEMBER WE ARE STUDYING THE NEW TESTAMENT, WHICH WAS WRITTEN IN GREEK, NOT THE HEBREW OF THE OLD TESTAMENT). Catholics will tell you that this really means ‘Only born’ or that the first born is simply showing Christ’s birth right, But let’s find the truth.

First of all, we are told that Jesus is the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God (John 3:16). Only begotten is –MONOGENES in the greek- and it is defined as –ONLY BORN.

Where as Matthew 1:25 states that Jesus is Mary’s FIRSTBORN or –Prototokos- which is defined simply as- the first to be born.

And PROTOKOS is DIFFERENT from the greek word Prototokia that denotes the birthright of the first born. So again we disprove the Catholic’s claim.

Let’s look at an example of the word firstborn (Prototokos) being used in scripture, the bible truly speaks for it’s self.

Romans 8:29,, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the FIRST BORN AMONG MANY BRETHEN”.

THE OLD TESTAMENT DENIES MARY'S PERPETUAL VIRGINITY

Do you seek more proof? Then I’ll give it to you. Those who study the Scripture understand that many of the Psalms are prophetic in telling of the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. For example in the twenty second Psalm it states. “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” and “All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted in the Lord that he would deliver him; let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him”. This of course was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified (Mark 15:29-34).

Now I would like to turn my attention to another Messianic Psalm, Psalm 69. In verse nine of this Psalm we read, “For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up”. We find that this was fulfilled by Jesus in John 2:17. Also we read “They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink”; which was fulfilled in Matthew 27:34. So without a doubt this Psalm is dealing with the life of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Now may we look at verse eight of this Messianic Psalm?

“I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children; and again we see that this was fulfilled in John 7:3-5.

“His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth any thing in secrete, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew theyself to the world. For neither did his BRETHEN BELIEVE IN HIM”.

Now the scripture clearly states that Christ’s brethren did not believe in him, and what type of brethren were they?  Were they ‘cousins’? Were they Joseph’s from a previous marriage? Of course not, the scripture clearly states that they were “my mother’s children”. What more proof does one need to see that Mary DID NOT remain a virgin after the birth of Christ? Let them with ears hear the TRUTH of God’s Word. The Catholic Church belief about Mary is TOTALLY unscriptural and is based upon HEARSAY, written by HERETICS.  They say she was sinless—the bible states that all have sinned. They say she is an intercessor/mediator between man and God--- the bible states there is one Mediator between GOD and man and that is Christ Jesus. They say she is co-redemptrix, and that she gives the gifts of salvation---the bible says that there is only salvation in that Name JESUS!    They have no scripture that backs these false claims, and they try to twist and distort the scriptures that disprove them, but the bible will stand with out props. May we share the truth of GOD’S WORD..

INVESTIGATING THE COMMON ROMAN CATHOLIC REBUTTAL TO THIS STUDY

The following is an exchange between a Catholic and me, as she cuts and pastes the 'proper' Catholic explanation concerning Matthew 1:25. She is trying to show that until/til (heos) doesn't mean what you think (I predicted this in my Study). The Catholic writer's words will be in Italics and My response will follow.

Mt 11:23  And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. (Jesus was not saying that He would've destroyed Sodom after this day either)

**** IN Mat 11:23 --the word UNTIL is -MECHRI- in the Greek, defined as UPTO A POINT --PLEASE NOTICE THIS IS NOT  HEOS****

Mt 13:33 (Lk 13:21) Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.(Of a certainty, the woman did not retrieve the leaven from the meal afterward either)

**Correct she hid the mill, until it was leavened then she stopped, As before said, Heos shows when the previous verb ended***

Mt 22:44 (Mk 12:36, Lk 20:43, Acts 2:35, Heb 1:13 & 10:13 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? (And then He will no longer sit at the right hand of God? (Does this change?)) >

***YES THINGS DOES CHANGE AFTER ALL ENEMIES have been destroyed
1st Corinthians 15:25,, Then cometh the end, when he (JESUS) shall have  delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put  down all rule and all authority and power,, For he must reign till he put  all enemies under his feet.****

Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. (Those who did well continue to trade with their original number and more besides)

***Again, the 'occupy' (TRADING) ended when he came—The Lord TOOK and GAVE afterward, NO TRADING**

Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. (After the Pentecost, some of their members remained in Jerusalem by God's will)

**Again the 'tarrying' ended, the Apostles ministry began with the day of Pentecost***

Acts 8:40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea. (We know that Philip did not cease to preach the Gospel after he reached Caesarea)

*****THE PREACHING IN THE CITIES OF AZOTUS ENDED WHEN HE REACHED CAESAREA******

Acts 25:21 > >But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, Icommanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar. >(We know that Paul was still kept in custody after he was sent to Caesar)

**This is what Festus commanded, and he intended for Paul to be released from his custody when he appeared to Caesar. This again proves that word ‘heos’ showed when that the ‘keeping’ was to end --when he appeared unto Caesar***

1 Tim 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. (They are not going to stop when Paul arrives)

*** The above instructions are for Timothy to continue doing, until he comes with more instructions.***

1 Jn 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness  even until now. (And he will continue in darkness for so long as he hates his brother evenAFTER now)

** EVEN UNTIL NOW ---NOTICE the word -- EVEN---This statement shows the darkness has never previously departed, it is not trying to set the bounds of when it will end --***

AS You can see we MUST take these verses in context, if that is done, the Catholic argument falls flat,,, IF Joseph never knew Mary, The bible would have said he never knew her,, Instead  JUST THE OPPOSITE IS SAID.. IF Jesus was the ONLY Child, IT would of said so, instead of  saying he was the FIRST.
