                                            SEVEN PILLARS OF OUR FAITH

Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars –                                                              Proverbs 9:1

1. We Believe in the Triune Godhead of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

God the Father is the Almighty Creator, Eternal and Unbegotten, He is the Supreme Authority of the Universe [2nd Corinthians 6:18, Isaiah 45:12, John 17:3].

Jesus Christ is truly the Begotten Son of the One True GOD. Born before all creation, Begotten not made [John 17:3, John 3:16, 1st John 4:9] . God created all things through Jesus Christ his Son [John 1:1-3,14, Hebrews 1:1-3, Ephesians 3:9]. Jesus Christ is equal to the Father in his Divine Nature because he shares in the Father’s Divinity [Colossians 2:9, John 5:18, Philippians 2:6].

The Holy Spirit is the Eternal Spirit of the Father and the Son, who makes their power and personality present in the life of the Believer. The Holy Spirit gives the believer a new birth [regenerates the believer], makes the believer a Child of God, teaches the believer the truth, sanctifies the believer, bestows Spiritual gifts, empowers the believer and makes him to overcome the world. [Hebrews 9:14, Matthew 10:20, Romans 8:9, Psalms 51:11, 139:7 John 3:3-10].

2. We Believe in the Incarnation of the Eternal Son of GOD.

We believe the Divine Son of God became a man through the virgin birth [John 1:14, Philippians 2:5-8]. The Word who was in the beginning with God became flesh and dwelt on the earth as a man among men. He became fully man, yet in Spirit he was still fully God [Divine]. In the person of Jesus Christ there are two natures united in his one person, thus he was able to call himself both the ‘Son of God’ and the ‘Son of Man’. Today Jesus is still ‘the man Christ Jesus’, seeing he rose again bodily on the third day and this same Jesus, who never changes, shall return again at the end of the age [Colossians 2:9, Hebrews 10:5, Luke 24:39, 1st Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 13:8, Acts 1:11].

3. We believe in Vicarious Death of Christ.

Jesus lived a sinless life, and died upon the cross for our sins. While he was upon the cross the Father laid upon him the sins of us all and he was wounded for our transgression. His soul became the offering for our sins. By his death he paid the sin debt of every believer in full. Through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross, which was vicarious and complete, one who places their trust in Christ is justified from all sin. [1st Corinthians 15:1-5, Isaiah 53:4-10]

4.We believe in  justification by Grace through Faith Alone with the fruit of Repentance.

A. Not of Works. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to the believer, just as the guilt of the world was imputed to Christ on the cross [Romans 3:22, 4:21-24]. No works can merit this gift of righteousness, it must be obtained by faith alone in the finished work of Christ [Romans 11:6, Ephesians 2:8-9]. As long as one trusts in Christ he stands justified before God. According to Scriptures it is possible for those who once believed to fall into unbelief, thus we reject the modern understanding of ‘eternal security’, but hold to the preservance of the Elect [Hebrews 3:12, Luke 8:13, Matthew 10:22].

B. A Faith that Works. True faith in the Grace of GOD leads a person to repentance [Luke 13:3]. After repentance the Bible teaches us that a person should be baptized (fully immersed) to show that the old man has been put to death, and that he has risen as a new creature [Mark 16:16, Romans 6:1-10]. Saving Fath will always be followed by good works [Ephesians 2:10]. Those who truly abide in Christ by faith bring forth much fruit [John 15:5].

5. We Believe in the Gifts of the Spirit and the Sanctification of Believer by the Spirit.

A The Spiritual Gifts. We believe in all the gifts of the Spirit mentioned in the Bible and there is still a place for all of them within the body of Christ [Ephesians 4:7-13], We believe the Spirit bestows these gifts as he sees fit [1st Corinthians 12:8-11]. We believe that no gift is evidence of having the Spirit, but rather the evidence of the Spirit are the fruits of the Spirit [Matthew 7:16-20] which are named in Galatians chapter five.

B. Sanctification. One of the fruits of having the Spirit is love, and thus the Christian is taught by the Spirit to love GOD and his neighbor.  This fruit causes us to WANT to obey GOD and his Word; and seek to separate ourselves from sin and customs that anger God (This includes all ‘religious customs’ that originates in false religion). The Spirit also teaches us to love our neighbors and thus we will seek to do no harm to them [thus fulfilling the law].

6. We Believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the Resurrection of all the Dead, the Final Judgment and Eternal Rewards.

A. Condition of the Dead. We believe the dead are reserved until the resurrection. The body sleeps in the grave, and the spirit returns to God. The spirits of the saints ‘rest in Christ’, the spirits of the wicked are reserved in darkness [hades=the hell of the rich man- Luke 16] until the resurrection. [2nd Peter 2:9, Job 32:8, Ecclesiastes 12:7, 1st Thessalonians 4:14].

B. The Second Coming. At the end of the Great Tribulation Jesus will return [visibly and audibly] to gather together his saints. The dead believers will be resurrected and the living Saints will be translated, and we will meet the Lord in the air. The living who have heard the gospel and rejected Christ at his coming will be destroyed [Matthew 24:29-39, 1st Thessalonians 4:17, Luke 19:27, Isaiah 13:9].

C. The Millennium and Beyond.
The glorified Saints will reign upon the earth for 1000 years with Christ. Then after the Millennium, they will live forever with God and Christ on the ‘New Earth’, which is commonly called ‘heaven’. [Philippians 3:21, Revelation 5:10, 20:4,  Isaiah 66:22, 2nd Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1, 1st Corinthians 15:28]

D. Judgment and Punishment of the Wicked. After the thousand-year reign comes the second resurrection, commonly called ‘the resurrection of the wicked’. It is for all who did not partake in the first resurrection at Christ’s coming. Those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life shall be judged and cast into hell [the lake of fire, Gehenna]. Judgment Day is not a day of salvation, nor is it a day of the second chance, no names shall be added to Christ’s book on that dreadful day. According to Christ, Hell [Gehenna] is a place of eternal fire and eternal punishment; where the fire is not quenched and the worm dieth not. The wicked shall be cast into it, both body and soul, and no one that is cast into it, shall escape it. [Matthew 25:26, Mark 9:44, Matthew 10:28 and simply read Revelation 19, 20 and 21].

7. We believe the Bible in its Original Form is the Infallible Word of GOD.

That from Genesis to the book of Revelation composes all the holy Scripture. We believe that GOD inspired all scripture, and all doctrines must be based upon God’s Word. It is the Final Authority [Isaiah 8:20, 2nd Timothy 3:15-17, Acts 17:11].
